1,677 new COVID-19 cases, 25 additional deaths reported in Mass. – WCVB Boston

The Massachusetts Department of Public Health has released the latest COVID-19 case numbers for the state.

The Massachusetts Department of Public Health reported an additional 1,677 confirmed COVID-19 cases Friday, bringing the statewide total to 556,307 since the start of the pandemic.
State health officials also added 25 confirmed COVID-19-related deaths to the state’s total, which is now 15,992.
As of Friday, a total of 2,420,360 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been shipped to the state, of which 2,005,800 — or 82.9% — have been administered. So far, 650,411 people are fully vaccinated in Massachusetts.
